The West Africa Tourism Peace and Economic Integration Organisation (WATPECO) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering domestic and international peace tourism initiatives. These initiatives contribute to promoting economic cooperation, cross-cultural understanding, peaceful coexistence, environmental stewardship, cultural diplomacy, heritage preservation, poverty reduction, reconciliation, and post-conflict transformation. Our work aligns with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting sustainable peace, and fostering responsible tourism across all 15 ECOWAS member states and the wider African region.
